Stage 2: "W.I.P" - Work In Progress
This involves the following steps briefly outlined below.
1) Disassembly:
- All "Dirty" items in for overhaul are individually disassembled within our purpose built "Dirty Room".
- All items are disassembled in accordance with an approved Trent worksheet specific to that particular item.
- Once disassembled, all components are fully inspected for damage, corrosion, general wear and tear or any non conforming parts.
- All perishable parts are discarded (O-Rings, Gaskets, Seals etc).
2) Repair / Reworking:
- Parts that require repairing or additional reworking are transfered to our purpose built "Material Off" Room.
- Fully equipped with an Industrial lathe, Milling machine, Drill Presses, Wire and Grinding Wheels.
- Drilling and Tapping Facilities.
- Industrial Sandblaster.
3) Cleaning:
- We employ a wide variety of cleaning methods tailored specifically to achieve optimal results for that particular item.
- We use Industry approved cleaning products.
4) Assembly:
- All items are individually assembled within our "Clean Areas".
- All items are assembled in accordance with an approved Trent worksheet specific to that particular item.
- All perishable parts are replaced with new OEM parts (O-Rings, Gaskets, Seals etc).
- All lubricants are Industry approved products.
5) Paint:
- Overhauled items that require a painted finish, will undergo this process on completion of all the relevant repairs & testing.
- A fully equipped purpose built Spray Room provides the correct environment for achieving a high quality finish.
- All items are degreased prior to paint, then 2 Coates of Primer are applied followed by 2 Coates of the finishing top colour.
- Working to our "Trent Paint Doc 100" guidelines to achieve a consistent quality finish every time.
